Turmeric

Sourced from the Lakadong region of Meghalaya, known for producing turmeric with the highest natural curcumin content in the world (7-12% vs. the typical 2-3%). The rhizomes are boiled, sun-dried for 10-15 days, and hand-pounded by tribal women using traditional methods that preserve the essential oils. The result is a deep golden-orange powder with an earthy, slightly peppery warmth that stains everything it touches. Use in curries, rice, milk (haldi doodh), or as a wellness ritual.
